Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) is Google’s free dashboard product. For Google-heavy agencies it is the default “we’ll just build it” answer. It can look excellent. It can also sit broken for two weeks because a GA4 connector expired and the intern is on holiday.
Vensoro is not a Looker Studio template. It is a workspace that produces a white-label PDF from data it already used to run the SEO audit and ads. Different job.
Looker Studio wins when
- You only report Google properties and can live inside Google’s UI
- A staff member enjoys blending data sources
- The client wants a live link, not a PDF they forward to the CEO
- Budget is zero and time is not
Vensoro wins when
- The client should never see a Google login or a “Looker Studio” chrome
- Meta, LinkedIn, and X sit next to GA4 in the same document
- The SEO work and the report are the same week’s output
- You want scheduled email plus a portal, not a bookmarked URL
Cost
Looker Studio: $0, plus the hours. Paid community connectors exist if you outgrow native ones. Vensoro: $59–$449/mo depending on client count and white-label depth. See pricing.
If your only pain is “GA4 plus Google Ads in a nicer chart,” stay on Looker Studio. If the pain is “we still built a deck after the dashboard,” that is us.
